Presentation Summary: This presentation will clarify how key innovations in behavioral science are being effectively applied by small and large business owners “in the trenches” to dramatically improve their ROI. Focus will be placed on practical ways behavioral science is being used to give organizations lasting competitive advantages. Innovations in pre-employment selection, strategic placement of talent/talent development, and managing/coaching will be discussed. How these innovations have led to a permanent shift in the business success formula will be explained to give business owners actionable information to make more confident and reliable personnel related decisions. How behavioral science has come to play as prominent a role as marketing/social media and technology acquisition for gaining a lasting competitive edge will be clarified. This goal of this presentation is to provide business owners with steps they can take to assess and strategically manage those “intangible” but impactful personnel characteristics that can accelerate success or painfully derail the organization. Particular emphasis will be placed on the scalability of behavioral science such that even the smallest companies can apply behavioral science to successfully navigate rough economic waters.
